An Ode is a poem, typically one in the form of an address to a particular subject. For us, the subject here was the Lost Summer, a season that went by unnoticed amidst uncertainty. We weren’t writing poetry about it, but doing much much more by commemorating it on a global scale.
Summer in Pakistan is when everyone gathers to spend their holidays, a time that is truly memorable. But this year in 2020, things were a bit different. Circumstances changed, preventing Summer to be enjoyed the way it was before.
But we didn’t let that put us down. Instead, we worked hard to find ways to stay positive despite everything. Find ways to say that times will get better and we will experience the joy and excitement of summer again. Our Markhor family continues to love and support us no matter the time or place, which gives us the strength to get through anything. And we wanted to give back to them for this.
Our team had a few more additions since last year, which gave us more room and time for experimentation and to find new ways to keep in touch with our community, giving them something else to think about in these trying times.
We want to become a global platform where the art, cultural heritage and traditional practices of Pakistan are preserved and presented to the world at large.
In light of this, we recently launched a new footwear line for Mid-Summer 2020. A collection that’s easy on the mind and easy on the feet, too. It helps you focus on other priorities because deciding what shoes to wear will be the least of your worries.
